How to Write Professional CV
A professional CV is your ticket to creating a strong first impression. Recruiters often spend less than 10 seconds scanning each CV, so yours must be clear, polished, and perfectly structured.
Start with a strong header: your name, contact details, and professional summary. Keep your summary short — no more than three lines — and tailored to the role you’re applying for. Next, list your key skills. Only include skills relevant to the job; generic lists weaken your CV.
Your experience section should be concise. Use bullet points to highlight achievements, not just responsibilities. For example, instead of writing “Handled customer inquiries,” write “Resolved customer issues and improved satisfaction rating by 20%.” Achievements stand out.
Ensure the design is clean and readable. Avoid excessive colors or graphics unless you’re in a creative field. A good CV should be easy to scan and ATS-friendly.
